Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is the TV host, journalist an author, philanthropist on television and television for more than ten years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece she came to England when she was just 16 and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. She was the first person non-UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Following graduation, she left her mark as a conservative syndicated columnist as well as with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions regarding the state of affairs. Her status as a celebrity helped in getting several high-profile contributors to post their views regarding news in the field of culture and politics. Arianna gained fame following her decision to be an independent in the California recall election, to take over Governor Davis. The project she headed was the Detroit initiative to make cars more fuel efficient. Her rank was 12th on Forbes' ranking of the most influential media women. That same year, Guardian listed her among the top 100 media personalities. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division, which also included additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. Even though she was in a close connection to both her parents and father, it was their relationship that shaped her. Even during her formative period, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she remains well-known. When she moved to England, she was 16 to continue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. At the time of her studies she joined the Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female and only president from outside the country. In 1972, she earned her master's degree in Economics. After graduating, she worked as a critic for a newspaper column and a television host.
